MPS Clutch Mod

Is Part number 1-0460 all I need for the clutch mod. I've never used the MPS stuff. It could be junk for all I know.

I have new plates and stiff springs already.

It drops in and locks up the two piece hub. Kind of like a welded up or Brocks Clutch hub.

So do you have to take the lock up apart by removing the hub nut, or does it lay over it some how?

You would have to take the stock lockup apart to install it. You would also have to increase spring tension to make up for what the lockup looses. In my opinion"¦unless you are dragracing it and/or experiencing chatter during hard launches, it would be best to leave the lockup stock. There are a few disadvantages to removing it on most other applications.

Humm sounds interesting. I have always heard that you could experience rear wheel lockup with this type of mod. The price is not bad. I think I might pick up a kit my self and do some testing. If I don't like it, I'll feel a lot better than if I had spent over $200 for a one peice design.

I already have a sprocket cover mod from a crack due to using HD EBC springs. I know about the possible wheel lock up. I just want to experience a nice launch. I can take it off any time. You don't even have to drain the oil, just make sure the bike is leaning at a good angle and pop the cover and wala.
