MR 12 Fuel timing and AFRs

Will be taking an '08 to the Bub Speedweek this year in the production class.
Have to run the spec fue most of the time but thought I'd put some MR12 in for the last day to see WTF happens.
Running ECU Editor with PCV. (Don't want to get into that debate at this time).
When tuning on the dyno I'm going to start at 13.0 to 1 for AFR and go from there.
Want to know if there are any advantages to changing the timing either way. The timing thing is a bit of a mystery to me so any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

I am going to say with a higher octane fuel you can advance the timing, how many degrees? I dont know that would be a busa wizard here that has that info.

Just my 2c worth on the timing. I am using ecu editor and have advanced my timing as much as 8 degrees . I mainly use the bike for drag racing but on the street I just flash the stock map. I advanced it @ 30-40% throttle and @ 6,000-8,000 rpms. This the throttle and rpms at launch. It was a hot and humid day and it really took off, didnt spin the tire and did improve my 60' times. Later in the day as the track temp got hotter over 110 degrees it started to spin the tire b4 60'. I wouldnt go any more than that, but I know it did work well and I didnt hear any ping noise from the engine. This was using pump Sunoco 89 octane gas. I also am using a WEGOIII data logger with the wideband O2 sensor so I check afr, throttle position and rpms.
