Getting ready to install the msd 4350 .The bike will see alot of street riding so I plan on wiring it operate off a 12 volt positive signal rather than using the clutch to active it. My question is can I use a toggle switch or do I need to use a momentary switch? Thanks in advance for the info .

Use the clutch switch to activated it, but add a toggle switch to disable it when not drag racing.

I ran one both street and strip without the toggle switch. I didn't see a need to rev it that high with the clutch pulled in on the street anyhow, so it was never a problem.

So, is this two step a plug and play, or are you splicing wires and using scotchlocks?

Looking to put a two step on my Gen1 track bike in the future, and want the simplest way....

DOH......

I looked at that earlier..... I did not realize that it came with a harness that plugged into the coils........ All the pictures just show that MSD box, and nothing else!

It is about as plug and play as you can get. It is not technically a two-step however. You still are using a factory limiter for the high speed. It only provides the low speed side of what a traditional two-step box provides.

If you are really interested in one, let me know. I've got the one I had on my bike. Complete with instructions, box, harness etc. I can hook you up!

I've seen guys at the track using a single step rev limiter and setting it low to use it as a 2 step.
The engine would load up on fuel if they 2 stepped to long and mess up the launch.. those would just kill the same 2cyl which will head squish with raw fuel.
