I was driving home whne I heard about it on the radio...so I started looking around and wham....there it was! It was a huge, almost mushroom cloud. I took a few pics. I will post later.

No I missed all of this... I dunno, I was out riding N Shootin and job hunting, furniture shopping, house hunting... Ya Know, not really paying any attention... Heard about it later though...

There was a group ride planned to head down that way... I believe it was waived off due to Sheriff activity but the Grumbly Mountain sorta serves as extra motivation to remain in the local area.

I watched it blow in 1980. That was impressive! Now I'm just wondering what will top it!

In 1980 I lived in Springfield, OR, which is about half way down the coast of OR. We heard the explosion all the way down there. We got just a little dusting of ash on the cars there.
