Yesterday I went to work with the Acetone and a razor blade, to finish removing the warning sticker on the tank that the prior owner STARTED to do and gave up on.. The sticker was still there, but had all 4 corners chewed off- Which in my opinion looked WORSE than just having the sticker!!!

Took me about an hour to get her pristine but she's now nice and stickerless.. You guys are gonna have me pulling everything off this bike soon that isn't mechanically related!

Instead acetone , there are some chemicals on the market that helps you to remove such stickers from that kind of surfaces .

btw : agree , without the stickers much better

Heat the stickers first with either a hair drier or regular heat gun, carefully.  It gets the glue going again and the stickers come off.  Clean up with 3M's adhesive remover and there you are!

I just let mine sit in the sun for a few minutes and they peeled right off. A little WD40 got the rest of the glue off.

I like the stickers, kinda like the hump to me,doesnt look right without either.

Your a brave soul using a razor blade to remove stickers. Next time just hit a hair dryer for a minute or so. Then carefully remove the sticker. Make sure you get the top clear layer off as with the bottom layer of the sticker at the same time.

It wasn't a traditional utility knife, it was a razor that you use for scraping paint off window sills and stuff like that- Plus they put plenty of adhesive on this sticker to keep it from coming off, so I knew I had a safety buffer between it and the tank

My thumb nail was taking apart almost...and took me a long time to take'em off...painful process...

I really like leaving some stickers on

. Especially the ones relating to the mechanical aspect of the bike

Goof-off............let it sit for a minute and it softens the sticker so you can wipe it off.
