Of all the chemicals I have tried I have had the best luck with Goo Gone! The Orange scented stuff.

I haven't tried that one. I will try that after my greasy lill fingers are done with it while doing the mod. I can't wait to hear the differance.

+1

I tried my "fast orange" hand cleaner (I get it from costco in a gallon jug) on mine last night. Not sure if it's the cleaner in it or the little bits of pumice, but it worked much better than simple soap. Got all the chain-fling off in the places I took the time to scrub well.

thanks for the tips guys! I ended up doing the muffler mod last night, and I also cut off the pea shooter off while I had that chrome cap off. Looks and sounds much better at idle. I'm taking it out today so well see how it sounds on the road.
And I used goo gone to clean it up and ceramey bryte (the stuff you use to clean ceramic stove tops) is also made for stainless steel. Looks like new
