MUffler packing ????

For the last couple months I've noticed the busa is getting louder. I guessing it time for a repack, the HMF's have about 20k miles on them. My question is will that effect the tune on the bike? I've also noticed that it has a surge at any thing under about 3500rpm while cruising. Acceleration is fine but under deceleration I get alot of poping, that I didn't have before. only mods are HMF slipon's. I really hope its just the pipes as I will be installing my yosh system and a bazzaz by the end of the month.

Why would you repack the slip ons, when you are gonna put on a full system and a tuner in a few weeks ???

Im not gonna repack them. Just wondering it them needing to be repacked would effect the tune and cause my surge and poping during decel.

Slip ons that need to be repacked should not effect the tune...you might have a exhaust leak...that could cause a decel popping. The exhaust system, Bazzaz unit, and a custom tune will solve all of your issues.

When was the last time your bike was serviced...plugs, air filter, and a injector treatment ???

about 1000 miles ago I changed the plugs/air filter. I never done any kind of injector treatment.
