I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN DISCUSSED BEFORE, BUT KNOWONE CAN REALLY GIVE ME AN HONEST ANSWER ABOUT THE MUZZY FAN MOD. STOCK HAS 6 FINS AS WELL AS THE MUZZY. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE, I BELIEVE IS THE MATERIAL AND POSSIBLY THE WEIGHT, BUT NOT BY MUCH. DOES THIS FAN MAKE A SIGNIFICANT COOLING DIFFERENCE?

yes it does! Before the fan i would sometimes have to shut my bike off and pull over in serious traffic situations...With the muzzy fan on my bike has never gotten to that point again...the blades on the fan are longer as well.

Its not a "performance" item... but its strong than the stock part because it WON'T melt. You're not going to see any increase in "cooling" performance unless you change your coolant mixture. No more than 20% glycol

It pulls more air and sends it through better through fin design. The blades also do not flex as much keeping the flow dependable and strong. I also am very happy I spent the $40.

THANKS GUYS: I HATE TO BRING THIS TOPIC UP AGAIN AND AGAIN, BUT I WANTED TO BE CERTAIN IT WAS WORTH MY WHILE IN THE LONG RUN. I GUESS I'LL BREAK DOWN AND BUY ONE.

I want to say that mine cost me $35 and took about 30 minutes of install time....(I already had the fairings off to put in my screens.) I think it was/is well worth it. Haven't tried, but it would probably do even better with Engine Ice or some other high end coolant. Regardless, put the fan on. You'll be glad you did.

MC MUSTANG: ACTUALLY, I JUST FLUSHED MY RADIATOR AND REPLACED IT W/ ENGINE ICE SO I MIGHT AS WELL ADD THE FAN. I HEARD NOTHING BUT GOOD REVIEWS ABOUT THE MUZZY FAN. THANKS FOR THE INPUT

...The Muzzy fan is very effective in dissipating heat. Keep your engine running for 20 minutes at a stop and see what the stock fan does... the muzzy is very effective, does not let the heat go over the half way mark.

If you dont have one on your bike... I suggest you get one TODAY

THANKS BOSS, YOUR ABSOLUTELY RIGHT IT WAS A GOOD PURCHASE.

bad move on putting Engine Ice in...
I wouldn't say its a bad move putting Engine Ice in, but I don't think its all that some have made it out to be.
WELL IT'S BEEN A FEW WEEKS AND NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER SINCE YOU TOLD ME TO "BURP" HER. I HAVE TO BE HONEST, I HAVE NOT NOTICED MUCH SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE W/ THE "ENGINE ICE" OTHER THAN IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE. FORTUNATELY, I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS W/ "ENGINE ICE".
