Muzzy fan

I just installed mine on Friday. If I remember correctly, you have to remove both side fairings, uninstall the three main bolts that support the radiator(Keep in ming to be extremely careful not to damage or bend the fins of the radiator), next step is to remove the mounting bolts for the cooling fan. Finally, remove the three screws that hold the fan on the fan motor, replace the Muzzy fan and that funky gasket that they supply you with. Their instructions confused me at one point, they tell you to cut along the dotted line in the gasket, but if you do, you risk the chance of damaging the gasket if not cut correctly. Anyways, repeat the procedure above to replace and whalaa, done...

there is no easy way. it is a pain in the butt. but worth the time. just protect your rad. with cardboard.

will it be a rubber gasket or is it a papery one? I knew it was going to be a pain, I also pic the mods that are a pain to do. My latest mod only half done is my electric shifter. Pain in the butt! I hope it is all worth the effort.
Thanks

When I did this, I had to pull off both lower fairings. Then I removed the three bolts that hold the fan shroud to the radiator area, then wiggled the whole fan out. You'll have to disconnect the plug oin the left side under the fairing, then the three screws on the blade assembly and replace per the Muzzy instructions. Make sure you use the asbestos gasket!

Including the fairing removal, the whole thing took me less than an hour...
Hope this helps...
