That's a great looking pipe! Let us know how the mapping goes after you've played around w/ it a bit. Is this something you just download from the Bazzaz website?

you can download the software off their site but it also comes with the Z-fi when you buy it.
Bazzaz only offers maps for the slip on exhaust. Good luck with the AFM they aren't that easy.

care to explain?

after reading the instructions doesnt seem to hard to do. Im not trying to get a perfect map, just something decent. Plus I really wanna see how much fuel they added with their stock/slip-on map. after installing the bazzaz my mpg drop'd by 3-4 miles. Im also having it dyno tuned on 01/16

also what do you all think is a good target AFR?

No such thing as a "DECENT" map in our world. They're either right or wrong. If they are not right, you could end up too lean in the wrong part of the rpm band or even to rich. I tried the just get it decent approach, trying to save money and gthe bike was never right. Ended up spending more $ and having it done right. Huge difference all the way thru the twist.

Bazzaz doesn't have any maps for a full exhaust on there website. You should have a map somewhat close to start with for the afm. If you don't have a dyno to put your bike on to be able to to get all the areas of the throttle you will be going nuts. It doesn't adjust on its own, just gives you a memory of what it thinks it should be for that ride. I helped my friend with his and it was a pain....ended up taking his bike to Greg at HPC to have it tuned (gsxr1k). I hope you have better luck then my friend did...keep us updated.

anyone know what a safe AFR would be for commuting? I rarely go about 6k rpm. looks like bazzaz has it really rich, 11.6:1 @ idle. should I have it at 14.7:1 like stock would or should I go a little richer.

That's what I thought, I set it @ 13. I'm out riding now, did a couple 3rd, 4th, and 5th tear roll ons up to about 7000rpm

well I logged about 50 miles. I did the above roll ons on the highway, I also did some 1st, 2nd, 3rd, gear roll ons on a near by road. I think I got some good readings for the RPM range(3000-6000) I'll be using while commuting to work, but I've never tuned a bike before so I could be wrong. I've help tune a car, but cars are totally different.

this is what the Bazzaz map looks like

It looks like you started with the slip on map and are adjusting from there? Everytime you ride it will suggest new numbers. How many times have you adjusted the numbers in the 50 miles?

yeah Im starting with the slipon map, I figured that would fill some of the holes. I hit the start then rode the 50 miles, came home and thats what it had so I applied it. Im gonna go out again today, I think I'll check it through out the week to. Then on saturday I'll see how my self mapping compares to a dyno tune.
