my 3rd busa

Hello all, just introducing myself. I haven't been on in a while, I took a break from riding for a few years but damn I missed my busa. Last month a buddy of mine was teasing my with his busa n the bug hit me. So, I just recently got a 02' busa, I installed an 08' motor and just got it to run last night (after about 8hrs of troubleshooting, turned out I didn't connect the TOS). I am also using the twin fan setup from the GENII busa's.

I am going to find a shop that does body work so they can mold the inner fairing around the cluster so I can use the GENII speedo cluster. Right now I am using the stock headers without the mufflers because I, 1: don't know if the GENII mufflers will work, 2: I am missing the little piece that connects the mufflers to the header. Just starting out little then modding over time. I still have have to clean up the wiring then put the fairings back on. I will post up pics by Saturday.

Thanks, here is a picture of my 08' triple tree (don't mind the rusty screws) and speedo cluster. Changed to this tree because the stock one was pretty beat up my the previous owner. Basically used the entire handle bar with gribs and all.

Thanks for the welcomes. I was able to avoid the bug last year, but a few weeks ago I went to Georgia to visit some family and there was some kind of busa meet and well the rest is history.

Putting an 08 motor in an 02? Is that cheaper? I assume just a newish 08 would be cheaper?!

I don't know if it's cheaper, but I got a deal on it at an auction which is why I got it.
