Well team, it finally came to pass. Some of you who have me on FB may have seen the post but my dad passed away 1 week ago yesterday. He was 84 years old and lived every single minute to it's fullest. Many of the members here met him as they have come to the Cap's meet n greet's and a few have even ridden with him.

Life is crazy fragile so make sure you live every second and don't sweat the small stuff.

Sorry for your loss Doug. My maternal relatives are buried south of OK City, Minco, Tuttle, Chickasha area. I haven’t been out there in decades. Was your pop living in OK City?

Condolences to you and your family, Cap. My father and mother are both way up in age too. Mom's about 90. I've been thinking a lot about living, and death lately and it is true, you have to live the most you can while you can. Life is like investing though, it's wise to increasingly reduce your risks the longer you're in the market. Plan ahead the best you can in terms of health and wellness too.

Mine went to 94. He was ready to go when his time came. I have, and still use, some of his tools. He gave me my interest in mechanical things.

It gets better Cap. He will stay with you with happy memories.

My condolences to you and your family, Cap. I know the feeling very well since I lost my dad in 2011 when he was only 53. You sure were blessed with the opportunity of seeing him grow old and enjoy retirement years. May he RIP.

He lived on the same property that I do, about 100 yards from me. I saw him every single day for the past 21 years. Send me a message and tell me where your family is buried...

Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. Dad was ready to go, we knew there would be a crossing point where his quality and quantity of life would intersect and it did. When it did he was ready to go and we are so very fortunate that his battle with cancer was short lived. I will miss that guy,
