Just got thru installing my DB windscreen and throttlemeisters. I love the ease with which you can work on this bike. I also got rid of the reflectors...sorry I still dont have a digi to post pics (iam leaning towards the canon PowerShot S2 IS.) I am getting ready to go to work (the night shift) I'll let you know how the ride in was (15 miles but I96 is kinda twisty and they just repaved it.)

darth, what year is your Busa? I am in a similar Busa modding... ordered the ZG DB today, and waiting for the Throttlemeister to come in, ordered it yesterday. Next may be the undertail, and hugger....then after that hopefully new street system exhaust. Was going to do a mod fest, but the wife had other plans...so I submit to her delay

Can't wait for the pics! Enjoy the mods because it never ends!

M bike is the blk/maroon red 06. Just got to work and the speed hand is fine. I cant believe the difference those bar ends make. I did not try out the cruise control function ( its friday night and you have all the partiers heading downtown.) The wind screen is perfect I dont have to have my belly fight against the tank while crouching down for protection against the wind.

Soon as thing settle down a bit I am going to get the dremel and take care of the shovel.

I love this bike. Also after I put the windscreen on earlier I took it for a quick spin around the neighborhood and ran into this other cat with a busa. He said he can put me in contact with someone who has chrome wheels (keeping my fingers crossed.)

Well thats all for now let me go and give them my 5 minutes of actual work.:D

Already installed the windscreen.... and I'll do a step by step of the undertail when it arrives (monday or tuesday... it better!). I've got a good post coming about reading the manual and I'll do that in a monster post with the undertail thing!

Hey Darth,

Nice bike (course I've got the same one!!!). Quick questions--how hard were the bars ends to remove to install the Throttlemeister? I've heard they a pain! Also, whick throttlemeister did you get? Thanks Can't wait for the pics

I got the heavy polished bar ends. They were easy to install but the instructions are kinda vague, I didn't realize that the one for the throttle has a piston in it. you have to tighten the barends and then by turning the bar end this moves the piston in and out. I had to call throttlemeister and they explained this to me. Once I understood that I could see that the piston was out just a lil bit. I torqued the bar end down rotated it so it was in the fully closed position then properly installed it with the necesary washer to fit flush and it worked perfectly.

Also too there is a lil rubber sleeve the goes on over your handle bar, you have to roll back about an inch of your grip and slide this sleeve on. My bike had a lil plastic notch that I cut off so this sleeve would slide in place onto the handle bar, this is what interacts with the piston to hold throttle in place for cruise feature.
