I’m interested…

Any chance you’re testing the GPS to bypass the 6th gear restriction?
We don't know its a 6th gear restriction yet do we? The ecu now knows vehicle speex, that is how I would do it if I were them. Ill start playing with it and see what I can figure out, I have like 100 fault codes right now with nothing really bypassed etc

I was wondering. Since a PC simply adds fuel to the engine based on a stored map, what difference does the ECU make? Seems you could dyno tune with a PC without hacking the ECU right? Would the Gen 3 ECU try to lean out the mix when it senses through the O2 sensors that the mix is rich, canceling out the PC maybe?

Also, is it remotely possible to hook a Gen 2 ECU into that harness? I have been told that the old ECU has TC, ABS, and more it's just not implemented?

PC meaning computer or power commander? Power commander yeah, the 17-21 gsxr1000 is supposed to work on it.

With a ton of work you could put a gen2 in and not have the gen3 dash, or abs, or the imu etc. All of that stuff works over CAN, and gen2 doesn't.

So why can't people just remap the Gen 3 with the Power Commander?
It will likely have less timing stock at lower rpms like everything else has had for years.
Drag guys leaving the line at high rpm get no benefit, but us street guys would.
PC can't change that.
Who knows yet if there's timing pulled at higher rpm for emissions too, not just fuel?
