My new Blue - I love it!!!

After my problems with my 03 that I had for a month, I had to get something with a warranty.  There was NO reason for my 03 to crap out on me like it did, but nothing I could do about it.  Fix it and sell it = $3500 loss.  Sell it and buy a new 08 = $3000 loss.  Math just adds up - had to get a new one!  So, I posted the 03 on Craigslist, within 3 hrs I got what I wanted out of it.  I sold it day before yesterday and yesterday went to buy the 08.

I had called numerous dealerships nearby to get the best price otd.  It wound up being that driving 4hrs to Hamilton, AL, was worth it to save about $350.  I got the zero-miler otd for 10,305, plus set-up fees garbage brought it to 10,500.  I got the extended to 5yr warranty for 625, bringing it to $11,125.  I'll pay $834 in taxes and reuse my old TN tag (that has 11mo left on it!).  Comes out to about $12k with a 5yr warranty.  Not bad.

The first day was 86 miles.  I'm determined to break in as per the manual (keep it under 5500 for 500mi, etc).  I'm planning on going to East TN next weekend so i've got to get that 500 miles in fast and get that first service out of the way.

Maybe I'll get some pics of her this evening after the buell peg mod. She's a friend of mine that I work with at the firm. She's awesome...lets me keep the bike in her garage since I live in an apt where the bike'd get stolen fast.
