MY POOR KID

Jetbusa

Registered
About 3 months ago my 24 year old son wanted a busa. Not having that much ridding time, I elected to buy him a 600 Katana, and he agreed. Well, last week he was going to work at 6:00 am, cruising at Katana speed (40mph) when a car turned left in front of him. We all know this scinerio to well. After a short stay in the hospital, he's home doing good with only a broken wrist and two very painful knees. The bike however is broken in half, hitting the right front fender of the car. Funny thing is , he was hit by a nurse turning into the parking lot at the hospital entrance.....WATCH THOSE ONCOMING CARS.

Sorry to here but glad he is ok (for the most part) and glad you didnt get him a Busa he might have been going faster. Tell him I hope he heals up quick!

Best wishes from DD & Crew.

Bet the knee injury is gonna linger for a while, they always do.

Here's to a speedy recovery.

I hope he recovers quickly...

You should have got the 'busa. He would have been long gone by the time she got to that turn in the road...

First off tell him everyone wishes him a quick recovery.

The HIDs can't be missed according to those I ride with and a few cagers making comments.

I almost got collected today myself. Driver waiting to turn left in front of me. Two cars pass and she hits the gas and slams the brakes at the same time. I hit my brakes and make for the shoulder but never leave the road got stopped just short of her, then she pulls in. Of course ( against better judgement ) I pulled in behind her and when she finally gets out, I ask her what that was all about. She just stares at me. After a brief pause I say you nearly killed me. How about thinking about that and left. It almost had to be on purpose. Dayum cagers.

Best wishes ... maybe the nurse can take extra extra special care of him in the hospital?

If he was going faster, he might not have been there at the wrong time.

Glad he is ok. Like they say, there are two kinds of riders...those that have been down, and those that will go down.

Hope he,s doing ok It will help he young and heal fast; problem is that same s**t happens to all of us more often than we can remember I have 40+ years on 2 wheels so I have come to expect it you can NEVER back your guard down and as usual the law is never around to see it. this makes what happened to me the other day leaving work kinda cool. It was a particulary bad day I was In no mood for any s**t just wanted nice easy ride home. just as i left the shop a dude in a suv pulled out of another shop cut across the service road, another 5 mph and well you know? I got on the brakes so hard I did a very cool stoppie [very bad I don,t do this] this buttwipe never even looked when he pulled up to the stop sign I shot around to the driver side I was so pissed this a**hole was going to go home with something broke did not care what him or the car just as i put the stand down a cop come flying up out of nowhere[very unusual for them unless they are after you] he pulled his cruiser in frt of both of us [he seen this whole incident]he shook his finger at me and went to the dude i could not here what was said but the cop got the guys papers and went back to his car then I left I had the biggest grin all the way home
