thanks, just want to make sure something wasn't up.Normal to me, but only in shorts and going 30-40 mph. Seems the heat really builds up at that speed and seaps out the fairing.
i'll do a search on that one. i'm sure somebody did a good write up about it, thanks.not hot to me i invested in header wrap...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! you butt will thank you on long trips... the difference is night and day...
i think down the road i'll do this again like i did on my gen 1.This is a good reason for the Muzzy fan and Ice mod to the bike! It brought the temp down considerably for me on my Gen2. It's a quick mod and really makes a difference.
All things things (header wrap or coating, second fan, honda temp switch) help with keeping the cooling system in check and can help the radiant heat but the frame itself still can get hot. I know for me, in the summer after a long ride the frame right where you thigh is can get pretty darn hot and there isn't much you can do about it.
smart azz!or just ride in cold weather
yeah, the frame gets pretty hot on that side but i don't remember my gen 1 being that bad. what i really wanted to make sure was that my bike wasn't acting screwy.
