My screw ups continue...

So after I locked myself out of my hump... while cleaning up I found the heat protector thing I was suppose to put behind the fan. How important is this? Can it wait till the next time I remove all my plastics?

Take those fairings off and chalk it up to practice. Put that asbestos heat shield/washer/gasket/spacer on there man!

yup...it needs to go in...that helps protect from heat transfer to the actuall fan motor/bearings...etc.

limited riding or cool temps would help...but if your fan comes on regularly..then save yourself some hassle and just do it now.
