...for a brand spankin' new 06 silver/red ZX6R.

Poor guy, he hadn't even had it a day! Stolen from the Naval Air Station visitor's parking lot sometime last night. Insured, yes, but we're both sick about it. As far as I know it looks like this:

I know it's not likely to be seen by any of us, but just though I'd put it out there.

Sorry to hear it I know how it feels. We had a couple of four wheelers stolen in south jersey. They broke into a trailer cutting the biggest master lock I could put on it, disabled an alarm that was in the trailer, cut two more locks on each of the 4 wheelers and made off with them all while we were home sleeping at 3am. So if anyone in the Bridgeton New Jersey area sees a blue Banshee and a yellow 400 ex in let me know. I hope you get yours back or paid in full.

What? We have cars and bikes stolen from base all the time and I have never heard of them rembersing it, not even in the TMO lot.

Sorry about the bad luck, i hope that you recover the bike with no damage or the insurance deams it a total loss and replaces the bike all together. The base will not be held accountable, i wrote up a couple incident reports on stolen vehicles when i was an MP and never heard of the military paying for the vehilce.

Man that sucks . Low Life thieves ought to be drawn and quatered by 4 Busas . Then to have it only a day before the scumbags struck . Well I hope everything turns out Okay for him and he gets a new bike . You'd think Military bases would be more secure. In my days you couldn't get on or off base without an ID card or a pass. What now any dirtbag can stroll on and off base . Is the homeland security level GREEN or something ? That makes me really mad . Fighting men don't have anyone watching there backs at home even . There should be guards guarding the guards that watch these bases.
I'm about to go off topic here , but we should pull all our troops out of the Middle East and shore up our borders agianst the invasion of illegals . Damnit the borders is CLOSED till futher notice . And if you want to sneak in and steal , well if you can swim the river of fire , run the gaunlet of anti-personnel mines , traverse the a mile of flaming contantena wire , swim the river of hungry Crocodiles , and eat 10 cow uteruses in 5 mintues then guess what ; You've got the right stuff , WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Actually, that was exactly the problem.

The bike being new, and arriving back on base after the office that issues the parking passes had closed for the day, my son with the infinite wisdom of an 18 year-old, decided it would be ok to leave the bike overnight in the unsecured visitors parking lot, into which anyone has access.

I've made it a point NOT to rag his ass about it. Just hope it all works out and that he learns a big lesson in the process.

That base is guarded by 50% Navy and 50% civilian, but the lot he's talking about is not in side the wire it’s out side on a very busy street in a very bad part of town.
