watch the center of that tire closely, they go thin ahead of the grooves by a good bit.. (you will see the rubber lift off the carcass before you think it would)

3500 is going pretty darn good, but I would already be shopping new rubber myself..

yeah, ive already picked out the next tire but it will be a few weeks before i can get it. maintenance comes quick when you ride 1000+ miles a week.....

yea it does... I have been through a few sets of tires myself...

what tire are you going too?

This is one of the wear bars.
If the tread gets down to one of these bars in any spot, the tire is considered worn out.

This tire will bubble along the centerline way ahead of that wear bar (there is one further inboard on that groove )..

in fact if you look towards the center of the tire, those grooves will still be there when the cord pops through.. Both myself and Rayabusa0818 had it happen this last season..

Great tire however...

Mine did too.
You can't always go by the wear bar, and have to watch it closely, but if the tread is to the bar and you are still riding, time for a change.

Try the BT016 if you want.
I just tried them and they are great!

There should be a wear bar in a grove near the ceter of the tire as well. Once you hit it, you should replace the tire.

Just keep a close eye on it. Based on your pic, you may start touchin' the center wear bear around 5k miles.
