Need '07 advice

Ok guys Bigbusa and I have been trying to change out his windscreen. We've tried 2 different screens, lockhart& Phillips and hot bodies. Neither one fits. The screw holes are easily 1/2 inch off one side. We can get the left side to line up and then the right side is 1/2 inch away from lining up. the screen was in all of the tracks and all the way down. I have an '05 and the screens fit my bike but they do not line up on his '07. Anyone having the same problem? Or have any advice on how to fix this? Thanks.

Puig Double Bubble or Zero Gravity would be who I would recommend , I have had both and never any problems with them matching up.

+1 on zero gravity, maybe you could hold the screen perfectly straight, mark it, and drill a hole?

I have had many different windscreens and never really had any problems. However, I always end up with the PUIG Double Bubble screen. ALWAYS fits perfectly.

If it fits the 05 it will fit the 07. I've had to gently pull up on the center of some of the DB screens for them to line up corectly

+1 on the Puig. I like the PowerBronze the best so far, but they can be difficult to get in the US.

I have a Boreem that I got on ebay, it was a PITA the first time but it did fit. I still use the factory sheild when I want some video, the Boreem is blue. Maybe try some lubricant.

Took my Puig db off my 05 when I traded it and put it on my 07. Fit was perfect as it was on the 05.

I had a simular problem when i put my sportech on. You just have to keep playing with it and it will finally go in. Try tapping the screen in with that palm of your hang lightly. Did you take off the inners around the gauges to make sure its not hitting anything?

Personally I'm not a big fan of the taller/double bubble screens. I prefer lower-profile screens in general.

When deciding what you want in a screen, I'd take into consideration what your biggest needs/concerns are. Are you looking for more wind protection? Then look at a taller screen. Is it strictly cosmetic? Then just get the one you think looks the best, etc.

Most screens take a little "tugging" and "pulling" about to get all the holes to line up right.

I have a Puig on my 05, and we just put a ZG on Juli's bike. The Puig is thicker and seems to be stronger. The ZG seemed to be fragile when I handled it.

I like the low profile of the Zero Gravity this is the easiest install ever and the dark smoke really let you see your gauges and turn signals
