Need advice...gen 1....broken chain

3rd gear rolling burnout on the limiter and pow...I just bought the bike and this happened same day....I should have gone over the bike and checked the basics but I didn't and this is the final result...do you think I will have to split the case?? If not what parts will I need to buy?? I actually have another case on that old turbo motor that i can use if need be...thanks in advance for any helpful info i might recieve ..

I did pull the chain guard but not the caliper.....

My bike was on a rear stand as well....

I've never pulled the caliper on any bike when I pulled the rear wheel...

If the engine case isn't broken, one of these will work for you.

Does anybody make a case protector for Hayabusa's to prevent a chain from damaging the engine case? Back in the 70s my CB 750 Honda was equipped as an aftermarket part that bolted into the area where the chain can damage the engine case if the chain comes loose under power.

RCC makes a great one. Have it on my bike.
