Need arm, wheel, and bar?

Took my Busa to strip Friday nite, made four sick passes, havent raced in over 4 years, foget how to slip a clutch and feather throttle. Need 4 to 6 inch over swingarm, 18x6 wheel, wheelie bar, brakes to match etc. Anyone know where to find such? Does Goodyear still make an 18 by 8.5 slick in a soft compound? Would really rather have a 15 inch wheel with spkt offset but I realize this bike is probably too new for availablity of such. Dont want to go back to old GS **** . Is Busa bottom end pretty strong? How about clutch basket, is it OK? Tranny gears strong or not? Any links or comments would be appreciated.

Don't go with an 18" wheel/slick combo. The Mickey Thompson 17" slicks work better (more sidewall area=more wrinkle), and the 17" also look more like a 15" slick. If you use a bar it likely won't work well without a strut. A bar and shock set-up allows the tire to load/unload/load/unload etc. etc. Another (in my opinion the best) option is to go with an extended arm, keep the shock, NO bar, and the harder Mickey Shootout tire. The tire has treads so you can ride it on the street but works very well at the strip. Mickey T just came out with a softer tire, but I wouldn't use that unless you don't mind replacing it often (or only race with it). Good luck, keep us posted on your progress and what you end up doing..Tom Gafa

Hey thanks for the info guys (Mike, Lee, and Tom). My objective is to have a dual purpose mountain/drag bike. I don't want to butcher it up to point of not being able to make it streetable. And I believe I can have my cake and eat it too. Todays technology (and the Busa engine) makes it possible to have a monster powerful engine that is also realiable. My plans are to have a complete drag rear arm, wheel, strut, bar combo complete that I can interchange in 2-3 hours. I am a bike tech by trade so I have all the necessary tools, lift racks, experience, knowledge etc. to do so without alot of hassle. If I want to go on a Smoky Mountain trip I will go stock. If I want to go to the drags I'll just slip the arm in. Eventually If history repeats itself like it does every ten years or so the bike will probably turn into a full fledged drag thing with the big tire, nitrous, turbo etc. but I want the best of both worlds for now. The Pingle website has not been accessible for several days now. I will check with "Turbo 1300" and go from there. Oh and yes, I will definitely keep you guys posted of my results.
