It's your boy, Wat1000. My issue is I'm riding the 08 Busa with a full stainless Yosh, PCIII, Lowered 1 1/2 in front, extended 6 over, one tooth under in the front, and foot shifting. Now about a month ago I went 9.80 with this set up. Since then I've added an air shifter, and went up 4 teeth on the rear sproket, last night the BEST I could do was an ugly 10.14 With the first setup my 60ft ave 1.60-65, last night the best I did was a 1.69. 330ft was the same way. And on the big end with the first setup my trap speed was high 140-low 150, last night 134 was my best. I thinking bout taking that rear sprocket off and slanging it across the yard. I was sure going up on the rear sprocket would help me out. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks, GONE:headache::banghead:

Man, wish I could help. Professor posted something a while back about average speeds and gearing with sprockets. I will see if I can find it.

Is the tire spinning off the line? Could be too much gearing. What gear are you going thru the top end at ? Also what is you wieght suited up?
I also race an 08. I am running 16/47 gearing, air shifter,Lowered 1.5 " front and back, strapped, 8" over swingarm and TiForce full system. In full gear I am 380 pounds. My best et so far is 10.09 @ 138.6 mph. I go thru the top in 5th gear and the shift lite is on right at the line. I launch at 8000 and shift at 11000. Last year I was running 16/45, this year I changed to the 47t rear and it improved my 60' times avg 1.70 its been as low as 1.67. It also picked up about 2 mph at the top.

You went from high-140/low-150 traps to 134mph...?

Something else is wrong, what else did you change? Bad gas?

Hot temps will hurt you but not 15+mph... ???

Everyone is throwing some good questions and advice out there, thanks. To answer them, I'm around 240lbs suited, no the tire isn't spinning it's hooking, I gased up at my usual spot, the temp Thrusday night was in the mid 80's, and yes I'm on the high side of 5th gear when I go through the trap.
