Need some help with vacation... Northeast area.. help brothers~!

Well, I figure not many people travel or get around as much as the busa brethren.. So I need some ideas..

From those of you who either are from the northeast or have been here...

I live in williamsport, pa.. 17701.

I NEEEEEEED to get away..and so does my Girl... she has three kids and full time school and job. We have no time together..

I was thinking of a short trip to pa grand canyon on the busa... but we need something more.. so maybe not taking the bike where we go.

I was almost dead set on Ocean city, MD.. but the problem is, its going to be mid october! before she can get time off... aka 70's in o.c.

I thought about Niagara Falls, but hate cold weather lol.. and cant imagine cold on vacation.. but she thinks that would be "pretty"...

guys any ideas? Any of you have ideas about short cruises? Our dates are thursday october 15th, to monday the 19th... All help is appreciated!lease:

kinda all depends on what you like to do on vacation. If you want something outdoors, you can head up to lake george to relax or south into WV/western VA for some app. trail hikes. If your mission is simply to reconnect and spend quality time, you should consider lake george or something similar, maybe head to the OBX or VA beach area?

Like I said kinda depends on what you want to accomplish/do. Also on price point, time you want to travel, etc etc

Check out whitewater rafting in WV. Most of the outfitters are located around Fayetteville WV. Mid October is towards the end of the season but the days are still warm. If thats not you thing they offer hiking and horseback riding also. You will have to take one day to ride in that area it's pretty good.

I knew the busa guys would know this stuff.

We are not looking to spend a lot..maybe 4-500 total. More into the relaxing thing..never thought of lake george..

Big E.. youre from MD.. if you had the choice, (and its cheap to go to OC in october mind you!).. would you pick lake george or oc for a 4 day trip?

Peace and quiet, head north to Lake George. Beautiful scenary. OC would be nice also, at least a lot of businesses will still be open. Good food and shopping to be had in OC. Fishing is also good in the fall.

I suggest the Lake George area--a quick jump over to Vermont--great leaf watching that time of year!

Hotrod is correct...Southern Vermont/New Hampshire will be spectacular with Fall colors.....(Northern New England, where I live the colors will most assuredly have already past)....but also cold and typicaly hard to find accomadations because of all the leaf peepers coming up and having made reservations months ahead....and besides...we usually have snow by Halloween.
