He siad he'd like another Arai helmet....one that has awesome hot-weather performance. Something that vents like a fart through mesh...

ANd billet covers.....where can I get 'em? He's looking for a billet stator cover...

Where can y'all direct me to? Please?

TIA!

BINGO!!! Many thanks, my bros!!

Pimp-nator...I really appreciate it, bro!

NJ...I'll take oyur word that the Corsair works...heck, where you're at is way hotter than over here.

Many thanks again, bros!

I have an Arai, but I didnt really get to choose the model, I had to get a signet, since it was the only model avail. in XXXL, and that is the only thing that fits my big melon. The vents seem good on it. I live in South Florida and it get hot.

XXXL? Dayyum, homey......thas a nice sized melon!

How are the temps down there? Over here, it's usually about 91 - 95 degrees and humid enough to have buckets of sweat streaming on ya....

I am in Texas and the Quantum's and Astrals provide good air. The Corsair is probably better, but costs more too !!

I have a Sginet and I love it! It has four vents on top plus the mouth area. The face shield has two as well. I am never uncomfortable in my helmet. I have ridden in temps up to 104 with it! I don't mind the noise and really have nothing to compare it to since it is the only helmet I have owned. It wasn't easy to find a good fit for me either. XS seems to come in the most boring colors!!!!

and the Signet too? Hrrm.....

Looks like I may have to look into a comparo with the two. Thanks, Scootergirl!

If you want more colors, you can always buy a solid and then have it custom painted.

Just a suggestion.

Which Arai depends a great deal on the shae of the guys head. Before trying to hook him up he needs to be properly fitted for an Arai. It really does make a difference.

Then of course you need to post up his head size in CM. Then I can recommend a lid. The Corsair flows a lot of air, but all the Arai's helmets flow enough to be plenty comfortable in high heat.

If nothing else just fill it with cold water as you leave on your ride, reload as needed.

Cleaning your helmet in the shower is one of the perks of Arai ownership.

just the brother I was waiting for!

He got himself a large Arai, Rev....and it fits good.

He's looking into another Arai...but a more ventilated one. I didn't know about the cold water thingy. I would think that it would make the helmet a sauna with all the heat we got here.

Yeah if it's humid the water doesn't help a whole lot. If it's a dry desert heat it makes all the difference.

Yeah if he allready has a large Arai then the one with the most ventilation would be the Rx7 Corsair. BUT depending on the shape of his head it might not be a good fit. Remember, Arai has three different shell shapes. So while the Corsair should fit just fine, it might not be as comfortable.

aaah....I see. I'll ask him what model Arai he has...

I'm looking into an Arai too....the Shoei TZ-R I have fits fine, but is tight at the jaw. Not really a problem when it's broken in, but still a lil snug. My cheeks end up getting smooshed up towards the eyes. Any suggestions?

I just picked up a RX-7 Corsair Hayden rep.....sweet lid. Last one was a Quantum, which was equally nice....like Rev said, though....make sure you pick the appropriate shell shape to fit your individual melon....

I see....

Thanks for your input, gentlemen!

I still need to ask my friend what model Arai he's running. I guess from there we can find out what would fit him best.
