I needed a rear stand to change front sprocket and needed to do kick stand mod . I didnt want to ask the wife to hold bike upright while I ground the stand and definately needed to get the rear up for the sprocket change.
I didnt want to use slush funds for the stand. So I got some 1" heavy square stock from work and two heavy casters w/ roller bearings from the harbor freight store for 4 bucks a piece. I just looked at pics of every body elses stands and ended up with a busa specific stand.
Naturaly heres a pic.

I bet with that longer handle the leverage is much easier to lift than my Pitbull Stand? I keep wanting to make a add-on handle, especially for the front, holy shiate is that sucker heavy with the short handle. Looks good man, and you even painted it, nice.

That is one slick stand!  I'm always impressed by people that can think of an idea then build it.

Although I'm not a welder or an engineer, would it be stronger if you added a small gusset plate (like the one pictured)?  Just a thought.

Its amazing what a determined man with some tools can do. As red green would say 'if the women dont find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.'
