NEW 08 BUSA!!!!

hello, im shaun. live in wichita, ks. just bought my first busa, and i gotta say wow. i love this thing. anyhow i have already chopped off the tag section and rid the bike of its warning labels and reflectors. here is a pic of the tag mount i made. go ahead and guess how i made it...ull laugh i promise, but it looks great IMO.

this place has some great info...and thanks for the shop manual.

hope i can make a deal with some peeps on some exhaust soon. maybe a good deal on another set of stock exhaust i can chop up.

thank u....nope, it still does it when it is hot out and ive been riding for a while. usually starts, just have to try several times. just doesnt want to turn over.... i think the compression is too high for the torque rating on the starter.

the issues im having are minor. the ticking in the cold engine does bother me some, but i wont hear it once the exhaust is on, if i ever get any. as far as the neutral issues... no biggie at a stop light and the false neutral can be found on any clutched bike....to solve that issue of hitting a false neutral shift like this: pull in clutch, shift up, hold shifter up ,release clutch while lifting up on shifter then let down the shifter lever. this will ensure a complete shift.

Welcome to the Org. Having some false neutral trouble too I guess. My Gen 1 shifted like a Mack truck when I first got it, was literally wearing a sore spot on top of my foot through my riding boot. Few miles and synthetic oil and it shifts smooth as silk, not had a false neutral in months. Yours should wear in too, just takes time and miles.

na, ive never hit a false neutral. the tranny seems to shift fine except the neutral issue at stop light. i have no problems with the tranny. i just hate the starting issue. a little while ago i accidentally stalled it waiting at a traffic light and it turned green. and of course my bike didnt want to start then it wouldnt shift into 1st. made me look like a fool. but at least i looked like a fool in style.
