Looks like a really good group of folks here and i'm looking forward to deals gap...

Welcome and congrats! You will love it when it arrives. Spend the time with your family now because when the bike arrives they'll feel a little neglected!

I guess you're getting an 08? Still unknowns right now about exhausts and potential problems since they are so new.

Haven't had any problems with my 06. As far as stands, there was a 'group buy' on T-Rex stands awhile back. I got me a set and I'm happy with them. Others prefer PitBulls.

On almost every topic, you'll find a lot of different opinions and favorites. Try to be specific when you ask a question and you'll get better responses.

Exhausts in the works for the '08s are brock, yoshi, and akro. That I know of.

Pit bull and cyclecat are awesome stands.

On the 99-07 Busas, the valves are inspected every 15,000miles and adjusted if needed. At over 60,000miles on my '02, only the 30,000mile check needed any adjustment.

We'll have to wait and see on the cam chain tensioners, haven't been a problem for the current busas.

Thanks for the welcome!Def will throw up pics when i get it,my old bike was sold in 3 days by word of mouth so all i have is a dr250 thats street legal til it arrives.I guess the most specific question i have for now is about break in. I've only owned higher rpm bikes,! all gsxr's besides the dr, so whats the tricks for rpm/mileage/oil change break in? Also i've only used amsoil in my bikes, I plan to keep this one for a long time, so, I take all advice seriously. Thanks in advance!

Welcome and congrats! Akrapovic for the exhaust. The extra money spent goes to quality and performance. Any stands are better than no stands, and I broke mine in along the manufacturers guidlines till I hit 500 miles, then I rode it like I stole it. Let the mods begin

to the Board !! And +1 on what Charles said. Really on the exhaust, I suggest you go to one of our MeetnGreets and listen to all the different pipes. They will ALL be

music to your ears. Then make your choice. I did, and I sure LOVE my choice

I'm still checking out the site, and finding tons of useful advice,i liked the thread on gutting the factory exhaust,I like saving money! Really I like mostly stock looks but would rather spend money on performance mods, so i think i've found the right site. The meet and greet sounds like the best idea yet, i bet you folks have a forum just for that kinda stuff...seen a few in here from the south so i may be in luck! Thanks again!

Welcome to the site. I hope you find what you want in an exhaust, I have heard many that I like, but nothing that would want me want to replace my system, other than maybe the HMF highmounts, but I doubt those will be available for the 08's. We need pics man!

As far as break-in, some follow the manual and others ride it like they stole it from the showroom. I would vary the RPMs and speed throughout that 600 miles to make sure things are bedded in. Amsoil is used by a lot of folks here and is a good choice.

to the board.
I broke mine in by the manual. It'll still go 100+ on the early breakin rpm so it won't be totally boring.
Amsoil or any top grade oil will work fine just keep it and the filter changed and I've found it hard to beat the quality/price of Pit Bull stands.
Have fun and be safe.

I shoulda got pics of my old bike pulling off just now, sucks, it took 3 beers just to get past the empty space in the garage! Now the tough part begins... I very seldom miss a day of riding, at least to work. The dealer says she dont know how many and what color they will get each month, as of sept 29th I was 4th in line for orange. These all black bikes look real hot!
