New as of April 28/09

Hello all. My name is Matt. I am in the process of acquiring a 2006 Busa as we speak. A little hesitant because I do not really know the full history on the bike, but it has only 8000KM (5300 mi) on it. It seems clean enough and I have to have my guy look it over before I throw down cash on it.
Are there any big heads up on the 06's that I should know about? Another question is did all Busa's come stock with a passenger seat? This one does not have a passenger seat nor does it have an extra key. I see no owners manual nor a decent tool kit.... These are the things that worry me about an otherwise fairly clean appearing bike.

Any information you all could share on this would be fantastic as I am looking to close the deal by Friday.( the weekend is looking good)

Welcome to the oRg. You can download an owners manual from this board, someone post up the link please! Also, a rear seat can be had on fleabay for about 50 bucks. And, you can always have another key cut. Post up some pics when you get her home. I am not aware of any issues with the 06's, great bikes.

They all come with an extra key, a manual, a hump and a rear seat. Seems odd that a bike so new, with so few miles has already lost all this stuff. Good luck. I love my 06.

to the org! Not aware of any issues with the 06. New, the 'busas came with rear seat, rear cowl, manual, and extra key. However, all that stuff can be obtained easily enough, so I'd focus more on the bike itself before pullin' the trigger. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

I am looking at a Red and Black ( although it looks more like a Burgundy to me) I would love to find a BLACK on BLACK, but they are not available here at this time and to be honest, I don't want to wait anymore. 10 years is long enough.

My 07 Didnt come with a spare key, as for the rear seat alot of people sell them once they realize they dont want a passenger, Manual is easily obtained. Tool kit is rather strange thing to be missing but easily replaced, I wouldnt let any of these things detour you.

However be very carefull with that bike, The Maroon part of that bike makes it the fastest color.

Welcome! Post up a couple pics and we can help you decide if there are major problems (from an appearance standpoint), but the seat, extra key and owner's manual do come with.
