new 'busa bogging out

I got a brand-spanking new 'busa. Now at 400 miles or so, the engine is dying out during a upshift between 2nd-3rd or 3rd-4th. It's a soft die, but it can be very dangerous (since I live in L.A. with all the dumb drivers). I just did a oil change myself last night and readjusted the throttle play this morning to about .12 inch of play.

I'll be bringing it up to Oxnard for 1st service in 2 weeks. Any thoughts / input / advise?

Please help! thx

I just checked the idle and it's below specs. Manual is calling for 1050 - 1250rpm at warm, but I noticed mine is just below 1000rpm... say around 950 - 975 rpm. Think this might have something to do with it?

The idle will not make it cut out. It sounds like it is not getting enough gas. When you take it in make sure they put it on the computer and adjust for your climate. Could be several things Gas, O2sensor airfow. they should get you up and going since it is still under warranty. Make sure they fix it. Let it warm up, let the fan come on. Turn it off for 5 minutes take it around the block at the dealer. do all of that before you leave.

I'll let them know. I got them by the balls for the next 3 years

because I bought the optional 3 year extended warranty, maintanence & repairs at the time of purchase. Hopefully, they can correct it, for mine sake and theirs (it'll eat into my ride time, and for them, I'll just keep bringing it back since my cost is already covered).

I'll let you guys posted. thanks.

Quick follow-up just in case someone else is running into the same problem: I couldn't wait to take it to the dealer that I got it from since it's about 85 miles away and I'm heading out of town for a couple of days for work. So I raised the idle speed to specs myself. It worked. I've been ridiing it for 3 days now and it didn't bogg out on me once. It was the idle speed afterall! me think.
