Congrats and welcome to the club. I have been thoroughly impressed with my bike. I am lucky enough to have bought my bike from the dealer where Johnnycheese works. As far as the windscreens go I have read some good things about the Zero Gravity double bubble. I am planning on getting one because at 6'3" I have to look through the windscreen to see the guages.

welcome!!! i have the blue busa also--ordered the ble zero gravity still waiting-- had one on my copper 99 and its a must!!!! hope to see you in datona are you going?

Just got my Y2K 'busa (blue & silver) anyone remeber the commercial where the guy is eating doritos and has a sh** eating grin terminally plastered on his face. Well I have that problem, does anyone else?

Also, any good ideas on a replacement windscreen (prefer blue or smike).

I've been scoping the Hayabusa boards for a few months and was really sold on getting one. So I just want to say "Thanks" to the "Busa Brothers".

hallazz - Thanks for the info. Not going to make Daytona this year. Just bought a house then the 'busa. The wife has been fair this year. But 2001...I'm there!

Vortech347,

When you do get the ZG-DB please let me know how it is for you, especially regarding possible turbulence around head/helmet as I'm still waiting for a report for someone my height or at least close to it (I'm 6'4").

Animal, I ordered a ZG Sport Touring in flourescent blue today but it will be a week before it ships. They have to make it. I will post back when it comes.

Hey Animal, I am 6'3" and I have a double bubble on my busa. I do not experience the head buffeting and chest blast that the stock screen caused. I can see the gauges with the double bubble and I could not see them with the stocker without ducking my head at an angle to clear the top. I can get behing the double bubble and it is like the eye of a Hurricane. Dead calm. No noise, no wind. Just the growl of the power plant. I do get some wind on the sides of my arms but I am a wide guy. 100% better than the stocker.

I have the Zero G Double Bubble (in smoke) and it's much improved over the stock windscreen as far as being able to see the gauges, channeling the air flow over me, and I think it looks much better.I am 5' 10" so I can't speak for the taller guys, but I have a lot easier time ducking under the airflow than with the OEM screen and yet it is only about 3/4 inch different in height (and a little wider)than the stock one. It's probably the biggest difference you can make for about 75 BUCKS- in appearance and in improved rideability (if that's a word!)

Yeah.. The smile you get from a Busa ride is much like the one you get after good SEX!

I never seem to get quite enough of either.
