New Chain but...

I put a new AFAM rear and vortex front stock tooth sprockets on her K8. Along with a new ZZZ chain using a RK press along with the supplied main link and using the chain spacers. All went well. All done. Spin the wheel check the main link, oh F%$k one (that's right only one little washer) of the rubber chain washers broke and fell off. The chain is in perfect order, but the main link is now missing one rubber washer. I think I'll go and get the 50 cal and put a few holes in this b^*$#H. Chain is okay but one damn washer. Now I have to spend the main link off and start again. Not too happy now.

I think I run her till she pukes the chain, serves her right, screwing with me on this one washer.

If your talking about the rubber o-ring........you should be ok? Its MAIN purpose is to hold the chain lube in better. If its only one, i would not have a problem running it that way until you have time to replace it......should be ok.

+1 on getting a new link, cheaper than abnormal wear on your new sprockets???
