My first set of sprockets for the gen 1 and chain. Wish the blue was a tad darker but it’s ok. No problem what do ever as all went very smooth. Not a bad day for an old man.

For the master link, the OP did a nice job in general, and took the old master link off the 'correct' way.
I have done Many, and just did another last week.
The pins for disassembly in my Motion-Pro chain tool eventually bent and broke over the years.
This has saved me alot of time and headache too.
Why?
Because now I use the same grinder and just cut right through the center of the old masterlink...or any link.
It takes 30 seconds, and the old chain is off, vs grinding 2 pins and then pressing both.
Sure, if you're saving the chain, but otherwise, cut it through and done.
And, whether I was grinding pins or just cutting the chain, I always put a towel over the wheel and tire, with another wrapped around the tail, and cardboard works good to help protect the bike from debris from the grinder.
Work smarter, not harder, lol

Wow is that clean!

I'm an old dirt bike / c-clip guy. How did it go with the master link?
It was my first motorcycle chain swap out ever. I have the D.I.D KM500R tool and that thing worked like a champ. I did my research for sure because I'm no mechanic and need all the research I can find. I think many people just open the KIM500R and start cranking it down and brake the push pin. As you can see, I cut down the head completely to start with and then its to easy. Tool should last for ever if you don't use it to sheer off the head of the master link pin. Reverse the process and flip the pin to the mushroom end and torque her down. It was easy for me.

Thanks Sixpack. The pictures didn't all upload and as well I used that big wooden down between the spokes and sitting on the swing arm so I could brake the sproket at the front with ease. The night before I actually watched DelBoy's Garage or DelBoy from overseas. Between the ORGsters and him I may do the fork fluid/seals next. You can imagine how that 2004 fork oil is going to smell by now!

...it'll be funky, lol

Do the forks, they aren't bad, and you only need a few special tools.

Without messing up Skywalkers thread.
The chain isn’t blue anymore… it now turned into red :p

Its a very good looking machine in either color. Like the Carbon Fiber stuff as well. The pin strips on the wheels... paint or sticker and if sticker how do they hold up?
