Even with new stake holders Suzuki havent the money for a proper new gen 3 busa or GSXR just yet.....dealers are aware their coming over the next year or 2 but info is limited...lets hope that buyers haven't gone elsewhere by then.

The Busa is still a great bike, but falling so far behind. Besides the outright power and speed of 1000cc Superbikes and their electronics, the zx14 and the turbo kaw own the busa. Hell Ducati has adventure bikes creeping up on the Busa. I know hyperbikes aren't selling the way they used to, but bragging rights count for something for the company brand and sales. Maybe Suzuki is planning on knocking our socks off with a street version of there new motogp ride. They have to get in the game soon or say goodbye to their share of the apex predator market.

You should have been around in October, maybe '16 my friend I'm thinking I need a new one

I wont be ready to buy a new something for a couple of years but by 2017 there had better be a g3 ready to go or im jumping ship. I dont know to what but im gonna.

its just really gonna be hard to explain the hayabusa tattoo while riding another bike. ???

I would love to see Suzuki do something just so they get sales back. I still love my 01, with the amount of upgrades and aftermarket support for it, I wouldn't buy a new gen3.

I'd love a Gen-3, IF it was a serious step up,
not just a few minor tweaks spread over the bike.

Nothing against the current bike, its more than most will ever need,
a great bike and something that's certainly worth owning,
but it's nice to have something ridiculously over-the-top.

I've had a few "top end" bikes, from CB750, Z1000, GSX1100 Kats, GSX1100's up to Gen-1 Busa's and a B-King
that at the time were King of the Hill, but its been a while since Suzuki was head and shoulders above the rest.

Until then ?
I'll carry on playing with older Suzuki's, 1980 to current has some great Suzuki models,
just nothing that gets me running to a showroom floor at the moment.

The new naked 1000 got me interested, but using an old dated GSXR1K motor, detuned,
in a Kawasaki look-a-like bike really isn't going to cut it against the current competition.

I hope Suzuki come good again one day.

Posted this in another thread:

I think if things go well for the MotoGP bike there will be a new GSX1000RR in the 2016 year with full electronics and everything. It will bring the GIXERS into the modern sportbike market. the 600 may follow the next year and it my even be a 675. If the B-King supercharged concept actually worked as was believed by most, the Gen III Busa will look like the current bike just updated a little, BNG's, and a supercharged 230-240 hp motor with basic electronics package (TC, ABS). If they get really slick both bikes may have addressible ECUs with laptop and even phone apps. A drag data logger might be in the Busa too. Using accelorometers and GPS, you just line up and pull the trigger on the track and the bike records 1/4, 60 foot & 1/8 mile breaks etc. Liter bike might get a track variation of this.

Bikes are going the way of cars as far as leaving less and less for the mod guys to play with. Suzuki will have to bring something lik ethis to market or the new bikes will be DOA.

I'd love to see a supercharged Busa (factory, legal, warranted and not aftermarket) because for me personally
there's always the hope they would build a Mega-Naked that the King failed to be and if not I'd be time to chop
up the Busa version and build something special.

Things have moved on since the 2007 B-King turned up without its blower,
The horsepower race has moved forward and Kwak have their new H2 / H2R,
Suzuki should have less worries about releasing a Full-Monty King now and not
a castrated one. Where do I sign ?

Can't say much. Other than once I got my b king. The Busa has had insurance removed and is on stands in the garage. I wouldn't say the bike failed... Rather people failed to buy them. Plus a lot of the people I know are starting to switch to off road. Which was my plan till this b king fell in my lap.
