Hey guys whats going on.
Just got my hands on an 06 blue/silver busa with an LED hotbodies undertail, spiked billet sliders, billet hayabusa triple plate and some other bling things.
Already did the honda civic 92-95 radiator thermo sensor mod, for these texas days.

The exhausts are huge and bulky how does single exhaust compare to a dual stock setup?
Would I have to rejet/remap for a single?
Is the pipe diameter increased for a single exhaust, compared to the cross sectional measurement of the dual?
Also there is a rattle/clunking on the left that goes away when I pull the clutch in....and there is a buck or shutoff in second between 5-6k if I get on it....what is that?

please tell me it's not the dreaded shift fork
thanks in advanced

Most gains on the exhaust have to do with weight loss.. yea you pick up a few ponies but you loose around 30lbs.. that is big.. if you want the engineering specs on the exhaust, go measure the stocker and report back, then I will give you the aftermarket specs.. (I think this is a great waste of time myself. Bigger is not always better..)

Yep, second gear is probably bucking out, how many miles on the bike? .. gotta love buying used sport bikes..

The rattle may or may not be typical.. need to compare to another bike or have someone that knows what they are hearing, listen to it..

Don't know about the thermo sensor mod, but lots of owners will put another fan on the radiator, or install a Muzzy aluminum fan. Full exhaust will make it necessary to install a power commander, and a good dyno tune. You will save about 30 pounds too. There are more exhausts available for the busa than just about any bike on the planet. As far as the bucking, how does the chain look. Clean, lubed and in correct adjustment?

:welcome: to the org! Sounds like your ride has some nice mods already. Post up some pics when you get a chance.

Congrats on the bike!

I would not worry too much about noises coming from the engine. They are a noisy lot those Busas!

Living in texas it gets damn hot, the honda mod keeps it below the halfway mark with some water better, because the fan comes on much sooner now vrs when it's already past the half way mark.
Sorry some pics suck, camera phone
still gotta figure out where to put the liscense plate
