Got an early B-day present today (Sept. isn't that far away). Purchased a Shoei X11 (Vermeulen graphics). The Arai finally wore out, and I wanted to try something else.
Also got some new slippers for the bike. I had over 7000 miles on the Avons and believe it or not my front went before the rear. I decided to go with the Pilot Powers, under the recommendation of many of you.
Give me a few weeks and I'll give a review, if anyone wants one.

PICS?

HEEEEEELLLOOOO!!!

Hey dude, what avon's did you have and did you like them? Would you mount them again?

It's tire time for me and I've been curious about the avon's for awhile...

thanks,
Monty

Monty, I had the st 45/46 combo. Nice tires. Pretty good grip (for a sport touring) and I could probably get another 3-4 grand out of the rear before I hit wear bars (I have 7 thousand now). I'm not sure what the deal with the front is, but, it is cupping something aweful. Pretty careful about tire pressure so I'm not sure what happened.
I would get them again, but, I want to try some others out.

pics, man!!! Must have the pics!!

Congrats on the early birthday stuff...I wonder if my wife will give me an early b-day present.

My powers just showed...damn if I get more than 5000 feet out of them I'd be surprised

VERY soft tires, gonna stick like hell but hope they arent lying about "being the softest tire without loosing longevity". Should I just order a new set now?

Thanks dude, appreciate the info.

I'm still voting for buying some good rubber and a spare rear wheel all ready to go mounted up with some fresh rubber. I figure that way I wont be waiting around for a tire to show up or anything and I can just drop the wheel off at the dealership. Save a few bones and keep your runtime high.
