Greetings all.

My name is matt and I'm a long time rider and amateur (read: hack) bike restorer. My passion is older british bikes, and my most recent rides were a 1968 Triumph Bonneville, a 2006 Triumph Bonneville, and a 198x GS1000. I love cafe racers and streetfighters, and I have had a dream for years about building a hayabusa powered streetfighter.

I've gone through a rough patch over the last couple of years (like a lot of people have), resulting in my move to Texas and selling off my bikes. I'm sure I'll get another soon, but to keep myself occupied, I have volunteered to helpa friend sort out his 2003 Hayabusa that is apparently sucking oil in two cylinders. I'm job hunting at the moment, so I have some decent sparetime to tinker with the engine.

He's dropping it off on Saturday and I'm working on my plan of attack. I will keep a photo diary and probably ask a lot of advice here.

Anyway - if you are ever in the Texas Hill country near Hunt (on the way to the twisted sisters?) and need a cool down spot, give me a shout. I'm always happy talking motorcycles and sharing a cold beverage with fellow riders.

:welcome: If any questions arise...ask away....there are a lot of people here with a lot of knowledge.

Welcome from one old bike restorer to the next. Nothing beats finding an old thrown away bike and restoring it.

:welcome: to the .oRg!

We're proof that the infinite monkey theorem is a reality. So post up your questions, eventually one of us will come up with the right answer.

I wish forums everywhere had people who introduced themselves the way you did. Cheers and best of luck with the project!
