Got an 05 on december 1st had 6200 miles now has 7300. All stock except roaring toyz exhaust. Just wondering if a powercommander is needed or what it will do performance wise?

Is it a must have?

No, it adjusts the fuel to match the improved exhaust flow. If you have a slip on(just muffler)you probably won't notice anything. If you have a full exhaust, you may see small improvements, it may clear up flat spots in your throttle response, and run smoother. You may feel slight power gains in certain areas of the rpm.
Power Commanders adjust fuel(some models will adjust your ignition too, only this is not needed unless you have a turbo, nitros, bore/stroke kit)
PowerCommander's preloaded maps are a basic tune to the application. You can have your bike dyno tuned with them, and a custom map written, this will make your bike run as efficiantlly as possible.
They are good, and I am by no means knockin them, but there are cheaper and better ways to tune now, check out the ECU Editor from BoostBySmith.
ECU Editor does what PowerCommander does, plus everything/anything else...and it's only $200

Thanks I had a powercommander on my old bike just didn't know if a busa requires it. It makes enough power as is I always find myself tripling speed limits.
