Hello everyone!!! I recently got back into bikes after a 15 year hiatus. I looked around, but not enough, and bought a Yamaha FJR1300 sport tour. I really like this bike but I saw a busa one day and became intrigued with it. And, as you know, once you get the busa on your mind you just gotta have one.
I came across this forum and I have been reading it daily for about 2 months. I have enjoyed reading it and all of you seem very nice and helpful. I just came across a 04 blue/silver with just 48 miles on it. He basically rode it home from the dealer and parked it in his garage. Some things came up and he decided to sell it for a real good price. So I gladly took it off his hands and should get it Monday or Tuesday. Boy, I am excited!!!!
However, I am getting lots of grief from my collages such as "have I lost my mind, etc?" Since I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon and unfortunately spend time putting people back together after crashes, they wonder why I would get a motorcycle. I understand that, yet I do love motorcycles and everything that goes with the experience (except for the crashes of course).
This forum has been instrumental in my decision to get a busa and I thank you. I look forward to discussing things with you as I am sure I will have a lot of questions.
