new name for the "2008 Hayabusa"

So everyone is referring to the new Hayabusa as the " '08 Busa"...but that seems kinda dull, and what will happen in 2009?

I suggest that we start calling the 2nd generation Hayabusa the
Mk 2 Super'Busa

Aside from its looks, I love it's engine. I want to transplant that engine into my '05 'Busa.

Any takers? Mod's, can we turn this into a poll?

The 2008 'busa has been referred to mostly as K8 or Gen2.

I think for simplicity, using the K# will be easiest.

Anyone who knows a 'busa will recognize that Gen2 means anything 2008-14 (for example); next, of course, will be Gen3, and likewise will be easiest to identify as K15, K16, ...

Also, you can start your own poll, if you like. It's really easy. When you launch a new thread, it offers you the opportunity to make it a poll. Very user-friendly.

well the whole idea of K# is a decent one but I will be sure to skip the 2009 model. I don't wanna be riding around a dog. I guess it could have its advantages. Here busa busa.. good girl now lets go riding.

It's funny...

I was thinking the same thing...  Everyone refers to the new BUSA as the 08 busa.  When the 09 drops then what?

None busa owners don't really get the GenII thing...  The only real way to tell the difference will be the paint scheme but what happens if your paint isn't stock?

I'm thinking they will just be referred to as the "NEW BUSA"￾...  That's what I get a lot, Is that the "NEW BUSA"￾? and I say yeah it's the 08...
