My oil window shows full only win the bike is straight up. How are you supposed to look at the gauge? Getting that low and pulling the bike over is asking to dump it, isn't it? I had my wife look while I held it straight.

I had my wife look while I held it straight.
That's how I do it.  And for the next question, my wife lubes the chain while I pick up the back of the bike.  I really need to get a service jack.
Your doing it backwards........Have HER pickup the rear end.......with a Budlight in one hand and chain lube in the other....... you lube your own chain.

It's easy! Just a matter of balancing it. I start with the bike on a flat, level surface and on the side stand, and from the opposite side I stoop down and pull on handle bar and driver's footpeg until it's upright. Do this slowly so you don't pull too hard and wind up with the bike on top of you! It's easy to feel when it's plumb (straight up and down) as it takes very little force to keep it upright, i.e. it's balanced. Then just have a look at the sight glass.

Hope this helps

Do the mirror trick. Just find a mirror laying around the house, set it close to the bike so you can see the oil sight glass reflection while you sit on the seat with the bike level. Look at the reflection in the mirror to see if the oil level is good. No tipover worries and no helper required.

An automotive mirror on a teloscopic rod would be ideal.

The mirror on the rod trick is how I do it, piece of cake and no tip over worries! You're local car supplies outlet has them.

I just pull it straight with the right grip and frame or grab bar.

Practice it a couple of times and it's no problem.
