I JUST GOT MY USED 2000 BURGANY AND GRAY BUSA ON APRIL 22ND, I'M THE THIRD OWNER AND WAS WONDERING WHAT MODS, CHANGES, RECALL, OR UPGRADES SHOULD BE DONE MECHANICALLY TO IT? I'M GETTING IT COSTUMIZED IN JUNE WITH A FEW CHROMED PARTS.

Welcome--- 2000 model Busa's had some issues-- fuel filter clogging, Starter motor slipping sprague clutch,cam chain tensioner, aluminum rear subframe-- don't overload it-- you could install a steel one from 01 on up model's.. if you are the third owner-- probably all issues have been adressed.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the bike. Nice color combo too. Don't know how experienced of a rider you are but if this is your first bike the best mod you can do, as previosly stated here, is seat time. Ride that beast and get the feel of it first then the list is as long as you want it to be. There are mods for speed, comfort, handling and all the bling you can afford. Look around the site and you will find much information on every aspect of the busa.

You can call any Suzuki dealer, give them the VIN and they can tell you if the recalls for the tensioner have been done. And like mentioned above, the aluminum subframe was a problem, just don't carry a heavy load or replace it from a 01 or newer bike.

I had that one(colors) for my screen saver for a couple of years as far as colors my favs are the original copper/silver next is the red/grey(yours) but no way I'm getting rid of Charity
