New pegs.

I went to a Harley shop last Sunday and got the Buell pegs, then PepBoys for the bushings, It looks like it will be a great improvement (oh wait I just need my bike to come in, so I can put them on it)
The cotter pin on the back side of the peg's can be a pain to get out and in. other than that it is simple.
You most likely will need to adjust the brake lever and shifter, both simple to do.

Did you order the ones for the busa? If you did you use the old ones. Adjust the levers and adjust the brake light too, or it will be on all the time.

i think the original bushes should work.. don't forget the adjustments..
the original bushings might work but they are too small and the pegs will fit slightly too loose.

Here is one you will like. I am now in the middle of my 3 week buell foot peg mod! Three weeks you ask? it took a little over a week to get them ordered. By them I ordered a "PAIR" of Buell foot pegs. I made it clear to them a Pair to replace the ones on my busa. Well they came in, I picked them up and the next day sat in my shop with a dremal and worked the left side to fit. This was nice and relaxing, after a lot of stress at work (layoffs) the last few days. SO now the left side fit, move over to the right side! Well out come the peg and it looks strangely familer. It Too is a left foot peg! Is this a Harly thing I asked some friends that have harley's! So its on order and the right side should be here next week. I Know this would not happen at a Suzuki shop right?

You bet, it looks like it will be a little warmer than last Sunday (Which wasnt bad at all). Im not sure which direction we are heading though. Last Sunday we went up 84 to Savana and rode Clay St to Elizabeth and back, wow, what a road. Then crossed the river (64 I think) and took 67 back down along the river on the Iowa side. I thought about you when we hit 67 and I saw the "Bellview 20" miles sign! If I find out where were going, (or if you have any suggestions) Ill let you know.
The mod was a simple one but It has given me alot more leg room and looks much better. I'm not sure how much more of a difference the buell pegs would have made for the hassle and money, but I'm happy with my results.
