ite leathers they were rental at track.
I think it's 2 miles around for nascar w/ the high banking SMOOOOOTH track.Enter track from pit lane...no standing starts too many wheelies I guess go left b-4 turn #1 10 turns with elevation changes hit the back straight after a left hand hairpin& hit the banking after T#2... hit it hard a couple of times & floated the front while leaned over...WHAT A RUSH run 2nd. & 3rd. gears pop into 4th. for a sec. & dive hard left b-4 T#3 3 more turns in infield 7 then onto front straight 2nd. 3rd. 4th gears & back to infield .
There were 3 groups that took turns riding for 20 min. each ..plenty of time with instructors after each race ask them anything you want ( sorry I forgot to mention Penguin roadracing school is who put it all on ) the instructors were all FAST they wore red shirts over their leathers so you would know..I had a little trouble w/ the liter bikes passing me in some turns, but my time came as soon as i hit the straights they all surrendered on the straight stuff
One problem I/we couldn't correct was a push in the front end on some of the turns tried to stiffen up the front end per the instructors advice same problem was chewing up the front tire pretty good a group of inst. decided it's a heavy bike & that's all I'm going to get out of it . They suggested a better front tire next time, stock brigstone won't hold up michlin pilot power on rear was great tho.. I slowed in the hairpins after all that ...makes my hair stand up when the front end goes away in the middle of a turn.
Had to remember to run my own race can't pass all of them....so yeah I had some fun.

You guys with the Red paint speed thing
I don't know about ya ! One thing I do know is that when I did my kick stand mod., I mistakenly used HARLEY DAVIDSON
black paint for touchup . And I know it slowed me down at least 5 mph
. So, I guess the Paint AND Color does matter

Cost was $250 for the whole day, $40 more to rent leathers, $10 for gloves and the list goes on and on. They rent bikes also, Ducati 900 SS, ins. on the bike etc.
Was a little concerned about tearin' up my baby on the track, man was I glad I took my own bike. Came away clean though. Part lucky part remembering to run my own race, some riders weren't as lucky, yep saw a few guys gettin' up from a spill. They would clear the track until all clear, safety first.
Met some local busa riders and former busa riders who had down sized to 1000 cc or some 650cc, better for the budget and not as heavy. I only weigh 175 lbs. so you can imagine the body english I had going on. The instructors really pushed hanging off the bike, makes all the diff.
Same school is set to return in Dec., thinking I'll go again...problem is I'll be over the 1st. time jitters might not remember to run my own race, might not come away as clean this time. Who am I kidding, I can't wait for Dec. now.
