On the Busa I have run:

BT-003RS
BT-16
Q2
PR2

and now am trying the Dunlop Roadsmarts.

I have been so impressed with the Q2s I wanted to give the Dunlop Sport Tours a try.

With that said, for spirited use and track time the Q2s have my vote. After the Dunlops I'll have a couple to compare for the Sport Touring as well. The PR2s served me well for around 6K miles.

Now if he could hire someone to get the bugs off that front fender, just saying

Interesting. Let us know how they work out for you.

I've got about 2200 miles on my first set of PR2's, and so far I'm impressed with the treadwear. Should have at least another 1000 on them by this weekend... The front tire doesn't stick quite as well as I'd like, so I may run a mixed set next time.

Charlie, watch the front...

My rear Q2 on my Busa is starting to flatten off (not enough spirited riding, too much communting) so I think I might put a Roadsmart Rear on while leaving the front a Q2.

My wife (NOT a spirited rider - she doesn't have chicken strips, she has a whole chicken :)) has a set of Roadsmarts on her Bimmer (or is it Beamer, i forget) they have been on there 2 years and still look brand new...not even flattened off yet. I'll bet she's got 3k on them..

New "Meat" is what we used to call new tires back in my younger days.

I've about wore out the Angels i put on at spring bash! 2 day, Track day next weekend 6/3-4 so i wont mind taking them off and putting on the new Q2's.

I can see your inspiration for trying new tires, but i found what i like for track/twisties and Touring. Well except i wanna try the Q2's in a 55 for my next pair. Maybe fall bash.

Then i can chase you around again! :beerchug:

I just ordered the Dunlop Roadsmarts from Jason at Honda East. I'm comparing them to my Dunlop Qualifiers. I will pass 8000 miles on the qualifiers tomorrow.

I have put a knee down with my PR2s but could tell that the tire was not in the comfort zone doing it. I guess it speaks well of a tire to provide feedback that can be felt and used to gauge the given situation. It is a game, grip vs mileage...

For me I go with grip over mileage with any tire I pick. Just a piece of mind for me if I have to make a fast emergency lane change or stop... I got the best chances of making it happen. I like the Q2s, Bt016s, Bt002s, and diablo corsas. The pilot pures were squirmy in feel. Glad I tried it, but the others get my vote.

And about 1000 miles into this set of tires....pulled this little bugger out of my rear when cleaning up the bike from the wet weather this past weekend. As mad as it makes me, I am more than glad she got me home safe instead of stuck in the middle of nowhere with a nice flat rear tire.

Yep, grip over mileage, that's me. My bike is my toy not my work horse.
