had to break down and get a new set of tires. the stockers had 5000 miles on them and were starting to peal in the center. opted for the michelin 2ct's. so far they seem great and the transition from left to right is DEFINATELY alot quicker..

New tires always seem so much better...mostly because of how bad the old ones were worn out.

The profile gets all fugged up and they don't turn worth shid :rulez:

Your lucky ur stock tires lasted that long. Had my stocks burned out at 3500 miles. Pirelli Corsa III on mine. Excellent choice!:beerchug:

Does this mean you have had bad luck with the Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs?

Michelin says the Pilot Sport HPX is the ideal tire for the Busa.

I have a set being mounted (2CTs) right now!

No it's a good tire...just with 5k on his stockers, he got used to how bad they were performing...so when he put fresh tires on there they seem so much better.

I have had good experiences with 2CT's and have no complaints about them.

Kind of a neat/strange charateristic, they leave a black mark around every turn at mid lean when you transition from the hard rubber to the softer compound.

I've gotten great mileage out of this tire.

You should try the 'BT-016'

One of the BEST tires on the market today

I have the stock tires and had good wear up to 3200 miles. I picked up a couple of nails which gave me an opportunity to change.

On my previous bikes, I have had great luck (wear/adhesion) with Dunlop and plan on trying a set on the Busa.

geez, i hit 10,000 miles with my stock tires and could have added a few more miles..threw some takeoff tires to finish up this season..

2CT's do turn in quicker to the point if "feels" like the bike is falling into the turns, once they square off some it will feel more nutral. I had 6700 miles on mine and still could go a few more thousand till the cord. I'm now trying RaodSmarts.........

love new tires!!

If you are not dragging the foot pegs you aren't using the soft compound on the edge. The rear tire has a soft strip barely an inch wide. When you are up far enough to leave a darkie you are some distance from the transition point.

I agree with BA BUSA on the 16's. Really good tire with a nice wide strip of stick then a medium grip strip through the transition and onto the center protion which is a bit harder for better mileage than the PP. REALLY good tire.

If I have a choice I'll take the BTO15 OEM tire over a PP or PP2ct every day of the week!

I agree with ya on that one Rich ole boy! I'm running the BT016s this time around and for the price, I doubt if I'll be changing brand anytime soon!

How can anyone get that kind of mileage out of a stocker?? Even if a guy just putted around town at 25MPH full time, I can't see getting that kind of mileage out of the BT015 stocker! Unbelievable???

You mean "BT's"

I mean BA's ... Battle Axes

I am just using that as a reference point Tuff. You've seen pics of my fairing dragging.

I went past the point of dragging the pegs, took the feelers off the pegs to allow a little more wiggle room and then drug the fairing the next time out.

The point I was trying to make is this tire leaves a nice little black mark around the curves even if you are not at full lean. Kinda neat to follow one up the mountain~!~

I am replacing mine with another set of 2CT's...for my bike, right now they suit me fine~!~

stocks lasted pretty long with you bro... I just ordered HPX's from Michelin... will update you once installed... my stocks still got some life on them though so will be a bit longer
