New to nitrous...

i've just purchased an NOS wet kit for my 06 'busa. Just curious if some of the veterans had some pointers/ideas on what i should/need to do to the bike before spraying it or what i need to look for durning the install. Such as plug changes, chain, etc? It is a fairly stock 06 with yoshi cans, K&N filter, and a TRE. It has dyno'd 158 hp the way it sits here in amarillo, tx. I have had quite a few cars with nitrous, but this will be the first bike. So any pointers are greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Full throttle switch and arming switch hooked to the brights?

That was my brother's setup. Launch, shift to second, then hit the brights.

Maybe a fuel pressure safety switch so it doesn't go lean running on one pump.

I do hear that the specialty metal plugs (iridium, platinum, etc) aren't good on the dope, but that's from cars, not on the busa.

Maybe a PC-IIIR to retard timing, or the PCIII-USB with timing module. You don't want advanced timing, which I think that TRE might be too much in the lower gears, but is just speculation.

Sorry I don't have much else to share.

Progressive controller, will help greatly if your going to spray over a 50 shot!

How are you going to supply the fuel supply?
Or are you going to use a regulater?

Nitrous controller

Fuel pressure regulator

And the last thing to make the job easy, is one of these. A fuel rail adapter!
The adapter that me and a friend have made makes it possible to tee your fuel supply off of the fuel rail of the throttle bodies!

this kit came with its own fuel pump, so i have been thinking of a stand alone fuel system...any comments?
Thanks for the help!

also, i am not planning to spray more than a 50 shot right now...how big of a shot are people getting away with on a stock engine?

i have  dry shot bikes, most of the same rules apply

if you still have the stock chain, get rid of it,it's not up to the task.....there are lots of good choices,i run a ek zzz

sooner or later you will push through the stock clutch springs, again there are lots of choices,i use 3 stock and 3 ape springs

with the heavy springs, you will need a slave support or a billit sprocket cover,i used a cheap m/h slave support for a long time and it worked fine,i recently went to a (canadian mike) sprocket cover and this peice feels rock solid

colder plugs are allways a good idea with nitrous,cr 10 e is what i have in the busa,cr 10 ek (dual tip) in my ZX 12

timing and fuel requirements will depend on how much jet you run

the stock header is a ''choke''

ENJOY !!

To be safe, depending on how you are managing fuel (cranking injectors WFO)...I would put it on a Dyno and run it to see how fuel wise everything holds up thru the RPM range.  Then you will know if your safe or not.

From experience with my bike and a 40 shot on the stock fuel system with injectors full open...I was was still rich enough to be safe.

another question... I am not real sure on where to put the nozzles. The instructions with the kit are very vague. Does anyone have any pictures of their install or know where to find more info on the web? Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Adam
