I learned to ride on a Honda 305 Dream. Sweet. Old guys like me know what that is.:) Since then, I've been on many different bikes, mostly cruisers and a few choppers. I had a custom shop in central Arkansas for a few years, (before TV made it cool) and have had the pleasure of riding and tricking many different brands. Domestic and Import. During that time my son has had several GIXER's and an 05 Busa that he had tricked out. Like me, he can't leave anything alone.

He kept telling me, "pop, you outta give one a try, I think you'll like it." I had ridden his a few times and couldn't get comfortable. I didn't go far enough. But I always liked the way they looked. SOOOOOO COOL! Anyway, a few years ago I closed the bike shop and went in a different direction. I had built one last custom as a hobby that I finished last year. It just sat in the shed hardly getting ridden. I sold it off back in the winter and decided that I had gone through that phase. But when spring got here, I got the itch (you guys know the one) and found myself with no bike and no spare parts. The time was perfect to take a chance and step out of the box. Six weeks ago I bought an 08 Busa and I gotta say there's not one thing that I don't love about it. This thing is smooth and fast at any speed.

I'm having to re-learn how to ride, (herding choppers around the corners for so many years) but that's part of the fun too. I wish I'd done this years ago. My son has only told me "I told you so" once. As soon as I let him throw his leg over it, he got past that.:)

I'm glad to find you guys out here and would like to meet some of you Central Arkansas guys to go for a ride. Send me a reply and let's get together.

Thanks guys. I've already planned on Eureka and I'm really looking forward to it. I usually go up there 2 or 3 times a year anyway. It's hard to beat the mountains and curves around there. Actually, anywhere in West or North West Arkansas. I can't wait.
