Been watching gunbroker, certain guns and what they are going for. Amazing how people either don't know how to search or are just too lazy. But their waste is my gain. I had not seen this new model Take Down 10/22 until Bots posted his thread. Saw the black stock ones which led me to the blue stock USA Shooting team model which led me to these camo ones. COOL! I was in love at first sight. Had to have one but how? All I saw was ones selling for anywhere from $600 all the way up to stupid numbers like $1500 for one which closed early January. It took me about three days but I found the distributor who special ordered these and got them at suggested retail. I figured it was a safe gamble. Got three for $379 each and three Addtl camo mags for like $25 or so a piece. So far I've sold one of the mags, a factory camo 25rnd Ruger mag for $99 bucks and one gun for over $600. Second one currently is at $479 which was starting bid. First bid on the second gun came instantly? So anyway I'll most likely break even by selling the two guns and one mag and wind up with one gun and two mags for free. As of now if I get no more bids I'll be into my stuff for $115. Can't beat that with a fresh stick!
The guns themselves have a really neat lockup system which clicks together very solidly.
Supposedly tested and held zero under repeated assembly/dissassembly. It really worked out cool because one can easily tell that the front halves are not matched to the rears. It's only reasonable to assume Ruger has piles of each and throw s them together. The front half of stock doesn't match camo pattern on rear so again this tells me matching is not performed. But since I got three I was actually able to find the front half that almost perfectly matches a back half and put them together. I took the front half of gun in middle and mated it to the rear of gun on the bottom for a match which you can see in bottom pics of gun on sofa with red dot sight on it. Isn't that the Bees Knees
God bless the USA and free enterprise
They each come in a really nice zippered hd canvas bag with pouches and pockets...
Here is one broken down inside bag...
25rnd mag...
So I wasted no time in organizing mine into my bugout/trunk bag....got all kinds of goodies inside....
And I got a Millett red dot sight for it from optics planet for $60.
Sorry Bots
